1. Nature of Services

Locale Homestays operates as a technology-enabled marketing and booking facilitation platform connecting guests with independently owned and operated homestay properties (“Property Owners”).

Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing:

• Locale Homestays does not own, lease, manage, operate, supervise, or control any listed property.
• Locale Homestays does not act as a hotel operator, accommodation provider, travel agency, or property management company.
• The Property Owner remains solely and exclusively responsible for the property, its condition, amenities, safety standards, regulatory compliance, staffing, pricing, and the overall on-ground guest experience.

Locale Homestays facilitates property visibility, booking coordination, and, in certain cases, payment collection.

All accommodation agreements are entered into directly between the guest and the respective Property Owner.

2. Multi-Channel Distribution & Collaboration

Locale Homestays may promote, distribute, or facilitate bookings through third-party aggregators, channel managers, co-hosts, marketing affiliates, distribution partners, technology service providers, or external booking platforms.

Such collaborations are strictly promotional, technological, or distribution-based in nature.

These arrangements do not create any partnership, joint venture, agency relationship, employment relationship, fiduciary obligation, franchise arrangement, or operational control between Locale Homestays and any Property Owner, co-host, aggregator, or third-party platform.

Locale Homestays does not assume responsibility or liability for:

• Operational decisions made by Property Owners or co-hosts
• Inventory management or pricing adjustments
• Property condition, maintenance, or safety compliance
• On-ground service delivery
• Acts, omissions, negligence, or misconduct of Property Owners, co-hosts, employees, contractors, or third-party collaborators

All stay-related services, representations, and obligations remain exclusively the responsibility of the respective Property Owner.

3. Booking & Payment Terms

3.1 Prepaid Booking Requirement

All reservations made through Locale Homestays must be prepaid in full to confirm the booking.

Payment may be collected either:

• Directly by Locale Homestays; or
• Directly by the respective Property Owner.

The payment collection structure will be specified at the time of booking.

A booking is considered confirmed only upon receipt of full payment by the applicable party.

Locale Homestays reserves the right to cancel any reservation where payment is incomplete or unsuccessful.

4. Cancellation & Refund Policy

4.1 Guest-Initiated Cancellation

• Bookings are non-refundable.
• Guests may request to reschedule their stay for the same number of persons, subject to availability and approval.
• Reductions in guest count below the original booking are non-refundable
• Additional guests are subject to availability and applicable extra guest charges.
• No-shows or early departures are not eligible for refunds or credits.

All rescheduling requests must be submitted in writing and are subject to property availability and approval.

5. Guest Obligations

Guests agree to:

• Provide accurate and truthful booking information.
• Comply with all house rules set by the Property Owner.
• Maintain lawful conduct during the stay.
• Avoid damage to property, furnishings, or surroundings.

Any misconduct, unlawful activity, or property damage may result in immediate termination of stay without refund and may attract additional charges.

6. Limitation of Liability

Payments for bookings may be collected either by Locale Homestays or directly by the Property Owner, depending on the specific property arrangement.

Locale Homestays acts solely as a facilitator and shall not be liable for:

• Property conditions or maintenance issues
• Service deficiencies
• Acts, omissions, negligence, or conduct of Property Owners
• Accidents, injuries, losses, or damages occurring during the stay
• Disruptions caused by third-party platforms or collaborators

Locale Homestays’ total liability, if any, shall be limited strictly to the service fee portion (if any) retained directly by Locale Homestays for the booking, excluding amounts collected on behalf of Property Owners.

Where payment is collected entirely by the Property Owner, Locale Homestays shall have no financial liability beyond its facilitation role.

Under no circumstances shall Locale Homestays be liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, special, exemplary, or punitive damages.

7. Intellectual Property

All website content, including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, branding elements, layout design, and digital assets, is the property of Locale Homestays unless otherwise credited.

Unauthorized reproduction, distribution, modification, or commercial use is strictly prohibited.

Information displayed on the website, including property descriptions, amenities, availability, and images, is provided based on details shared by the respective Property Owners.

While Locale Homestays makes reasonable efforts to ensure accuracy, we do not warrant or guarantee:

• Completeness
• Accuracy
• Reliability
• Availability
• Suitability for a particular purpose

Property details may change without prior notice. Guests are encouraged to confirm specific requirements directly before booking.

9. Governing Law & Jurisdiction

These Terms & Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India.

Any dispute arising out of or relating to the use of this Site shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Bangalore, Karnataka, India.
